I don’t know about you but when the summer months roll in I start to get a bit stressed out, mainly because my body is NEVER as summer ready as I hope it should be and also because it’s a bit difficult to find cute cover-ups that fit my body just right. How happy was I when I found these two dresses over at the Tobi website which basically saved my non-ready summer body from looking like a total disaster.

The white dress is super light and breezy and gives me all the boho feels. I paired it with my trusty espadrilles   that I love so much for a chic, poolside look.  A simple straw clutch completes the outfit.

For the olive dress, I decided to order it a size smaller than usual because my intent was always to wear it as a top. And honestly, I loved the fit of it once I tried it on. It’s a piece you can wear for night and day and looks super effortless either with sandals or heels, short or long denim. You can even add a belt and “blouse it up” a bit and it’ll look perfect.

On another note, today I celebrate another year of life and am so grateful for all the highs and lows I’ve gone through so far. No, I wouldn’t change a single thing, not even the mistakes and missed opportunities. Learning to accept what is has been a blessing in disguise and much to my surprise, something I look forward to because it’s forced me to see beyond what I originally anticipated. What life has in store for us is always wayyy better than what we originally asked for. Wouldn’t you agree?

What pieces do you love for summer? Simple ones are always the best in my opinion!

‘Til next time,

Raquel

blush floral print dress ft. Tobi

Every now and then, there’s a need for me to throw in a little bit of girly-feminine vibes around here on the blog. The heavens always conspire to place attire items in my path that make me feel like I need to switch things up a bit from my usual – read neutral – palette and try colors, patterns and prints that are not what I regularly go for. Mind you, I try to keep an eclectic approach to dressing up and I felt when I found this floral print dress  , that there are so many options when it came to styling it.

This is one of those pieces that even though you may think you can only wear it as is, the a-line cut allows for endless styling options and is the perfect light and airy fabric for these hot summer months. For this occasion, I decided to layer it over a drop waist skirt, belt it and add my most favorite pair of nude block sandals. You guys know I love me some heels but I most definitely love comfort even more. Adding these pieces was a no-brainer for me: comfort and style. What more could a girl want?

You can find more super stylish pieces here  that I’m certain you’ll love!

‘Till next time,

Raquel
