Well, the weather here in Orlando has officially started to tick me off. It was starting to get nice, cool and crisp but these past couple of days..My God!! Hot mess weather, that’s what we got down here. Needless to say, I sadly placed all my warm weather staples back in my little storage so that when little Miss Orlando weather decides to cool off a bit I may be able to wear them. Hurry up damn it! Please and thank you..ha!

So let’s talk about some of the cooler weather staples I HAVE been able to wear these past few days. If you follow me on Insta, you may have seen I posted this little camo vest from TJMaxx (sold out!!) a while back and I hadn’t worn it yet because, unlike other vests I own, this one is a little thicker and heavier than the others so I was waiting for at least a cloudy-rainy day to break it out and strut around in it ha ha! Well by God I finally got my wish the other day and I rushed to my closet to wear it over this striped dress from Marshall’s (a couple of seasons old) and some booties to go shopping at Ikea (do people furniture shop anywhere else?!..JK).

Normally, I would’ve worn this vest with jeans but again, it’s so friggin’ hot outside still that denim was just not an option. One thing I love is that this vest is so versatile that it can be paired with just about anything. It’s almost an unexpected neutral! I also love that it pairs well with accessories like belts worn over it to give it a laid-back/Lara Croft- vibe (is that even a thing? Just sayin’) It can definitely be paired with other neutrals, earth colors and brighter/stronger colors and it still holds its own and pulls its weight style-wise. Heck, you can even girly-it up if you’d like with a lace tee…But we’ll leave that for another post. I love it!

As always thanks for stopping by,

xoxo,

Raquel
